For effective application you should consider the attire you have on, the most suitable is either a swimsuit. The solution usually gets on the clothing you have on but it does not cause permanent stains. Some people usually prefer having the process done when they do not have any top on to avoid leaving of tan lines. It is always advisable that the cloth won should be loose until the skin has been able to absorb the tan. The preferred foot wear should be either flip flops or sandals.

It is wise to avoid bathing for at least the first 4 hours after tanning, because water and moisture do not go together with solution of bronze. To avoid the removal of the tan, soaps and shower gels should be discouraged at this time. For perfect color creating you should wait at least 8 hours after the use of tan to ensure the mixture has been absorbed and for a full amino acid to reaction on the skin.

Basically, an airbrush tan is meant to last for a week, when every precaution is taken and also depending on the type of skin. If you wish to remove it before this time, it is easy to do so by simply having a hot bath or showering. One can also re-apply the tan when necessary.

Air brush spray tanning is not known to have any extreme side effects but patients with eczema, cuts, psoriasis and abrasions should have tan applied on them. Pregnant mothers on their first trimester should also avoid tan application due to the melanin change in their skin. The client and technician spraying tan should always wear a mask to avoid inhaling the airborne particles which can cause discomfort or irritation when inhaled repeatedly.
