How To Attain A Beautiful Golden Bronzing Skin With A Sunless Tan Lotion

By Haywood Hunter

Indoor tanning lotions are gaining fame among most tanning fans, and this is due to the health effects that sunrays may have on skin. A sunless tan lotion helps a person achieve that golden bronze look and a glowing skin without the need to expose oneself to the UV light. Though tanning lotions give such beauty, you should follow a certain procedure when it comes to application of the product. Following the procedure gives you the best possible tan results.

You should always follow the instructions to the latter to get the gorgeous look that you want. This applies to all tanning lotions even the best products available. With the right tan, you will feel beautiful as well as have some form of confidence. With all lotions, the most important step is the skin preparation since this is what determines if the lotion will properly penetrate the dermis.

A body scrub can do a perfect job in exfoliating the skin and removing oils on pores. Ensure that all of these substances are removed from your skin. Make sure that you use scrubs that are not oil based. Using oil based scrubs leaves oil residues on skin thus also blocking the pores and barring the lotion from penetrating into the dermis.

After cleaning your skin, make sure that you wipe the rough areas of your body like the knees, ankles, and elbows using a moisturizer. The moisturizer helps to evenly distribute the tanner and thus prevent the collection of some lotions in one area. This helps you avoid black patches. Shaving is another thing you should do as part of skin preparation.

The spots usually appear mostly on the elbows and knees because of more soaking of a tanner, thus you should be keen when it comes to these areas. You can avoid these spots by simply cleaning your skin before you spread the lotions. This helps to open up your pores.

The folded skin areas usually trap substances that when not washed properly may not be removed easily. This is where a body scrub becomes even more necessary. Bathrooms are usually moist and wet and before you apply a tan in these areas, ensure they are free of moisture or moist air. This could affect the results of a tan, probably causing streaks.

Apart from that, in most cases, after having a hot shower, the body tends to sweat and it makes the skin wet. You should make sure that you dry off wet skin and no more sweat is coming out before applying the tanners. Also, try to use gloves or loofahs in order to avoid having some lotions on your hands or palms.

The best types of gloves to use are the ones used to dry hair by the hair dressers. Loofahs are mainly designed for makeup, and are usually thick but comfortable to use. With these gloves, you can easily maneuver the different skin parts without staining your hands and palms.
